The paper sets out various parameters associated with such transformers and the key performance indicators to be considered.

There are typically three possible inverter scenarios for a PV grid system: single central inverter, multiple string inverters and AC modules. The choice is given mainly by the power of the system. Therefore, AC module is chosen for low power of the system (around 100 W typical).
In order to couple a solar inverter with a PV plant, it’s important to check that a few parameters match among them. Once the photovoltaic string is designed, it’s possible to calculate the maximum open-circuit voltage (Voc,MAX) on the DC side (according to the IEC standard).
